Do You Need Fast Cash? Ask Yourself Why.
So, if you came here looking for a way to make some fast cash I’ll point you in the right direction. There is plenty of information here to help you get some quick money if you really need it. That being said, it would probably be a really good idea to ask yourself some questions to determine why you find yourself in a situation that requires you to get money in a hurry. Here are just a few things to ask:
Do you really need the cash quickly? Sometimes, we make a decision that we want to purchase something and it almost becomes an obsession. So, we run around and act as if getting the cash to make that particular purchase is urgent when, in fact, if we sat down and thought about it we would realize that there really isn’t any urgency to it at all. For example, if we were to stop and think about it we might realize that buying that motorcycle just isn’t an emergency in the grand scheme of things.
Is your need for fast cash a result of your failure to plan ahead? There are times when we know an expense is coming up but we just sort of push that fact to the back of our minds. We kind of hope that the magic money genie will show up and handle the situation for us without any effort on our part. Every once in a while this works. But, most of the time it doesn’t.
Has the rush to get fast money become a habit for you? The fact is that if we are managing our finances properly, the need to run around and find a quick source of money should rarely, if ever, arise. I mean, let’s think about it. If we have taken practical steps to create an emergency fund then we shouldn’t have to go sell the ring we inherited from Aunt Mabel when the alternator blows on the car. In such a case, we should be able to just tap into our emergency fund.
The foregoing questions are meant to get us to start thinking about how we are doing as money managers. The goal of this site is to learn together how we can manage our money and increase our income so that the need to find cash in a hurry will be a thing of the past.
Of course, there will be unavoidable circumstances in life that may require us to find fast funds. But, these occasions should be few and far between if we get conscious about our money habits.
